Sports Showdown is operated by Josiah Volinsky ("we", "us"). When you use Sports Showdown, your agreement is with Josiah Volinsky. By continuing to use the service, you agree to these terms.

The service

Sports Showdown is a sports trivia game you can play solo, pass-and-play, or as a live hosted show. The core game is free. Optional paid extras (Host Pro) and voluntary tips are described on our Pricing page. Scores and points have no cash value, and there are no cash prizes.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be of legal age to make purchases, or have a parent or guardian's permission. Keep your sign-in details private. You are responsible for activity on your account, and the information you give us must be accurate.

Acceptable use

You must not misuse the service. This includes:

• using it for anything unlawful
• fraud or spam
• infringing anyone's intellectual property
• offensive player names
• interfering with security, such as malware, probing, scraping, or getting around limits

Intellectual property

Josiah Volinsky owns the service and its software, design, and branding. We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use it. You may not resell, copy, or reverse engineer it.

AI-generated questions

Trivia questions are generated by AI and may sometimes be inaccurate. They are for entertainment only.

Payments

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, renewal, and cancellation are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. See also our Refund Policy.

Service level

We do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. It is provided "as is", and implied warranties are disclaimed to the fullest extent the law allows.

Liability

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before a claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, except where the law does not allow this limit.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your access for any of these reasons:

• a material breach of these terms
• non-payment
• a security or fraud risk
• repeated or serious misuse
